SumUp is a mobile payments platform who sell card readers that allows small to medium sized merchants to accept card payments.
SumUp wanted to increase their visibility across the UK, DACH, and Italian markets with a campaign that positions them as experts in the field of small businesses and micropayments. SumUp had two additional objectives: a) secure coverage in B2B media outlets and c) create a campaign that produced useful insights for their sales team.
WHAT WE DID
We created the Small Business Index 2019 to uncover the status quo of small businesses across Europe. The study analysed the 100 most populous cities across the continent and ranked them according to an average of 4 categories: the type of small business; the density of small businesses; real estate factors; and external support.
The campaign secured 132 clippings, with 57 backlinks. In addition to the online circulation, the campaign also secured 12 print articles, Furthermore, 50% of all clippings were from B2B media outlets. Lastly, the study is now used by SumUp’s sales team to acquire new leads.
